A ‘Big Day In’ store for IT careers

Some of Australia’s sharpest performers in the Information Technology industry will provide career advice and expertise to local secondary school students at Thursday’s Big Day In event at the University of Sunshine Coast.

The BiG Day In™ is a IT careers conference run by the Australian Computer Society (ACS) and held throughout Australia for both high school (Years 9-12) and University students interested in careers in technology.

In 2016, BiG Day In had 177 speakers, 167 exhibitors and 77 organisations involved in delivering 11 events nationally and helped over 6,500 students explore careers in technology.

Mayor Mark Jamieson said the Big Day In was an outstanding way for technology companies, enterprises with significant ICT departments and tech hubs to promote the career opportunities they can provide to young people in the future.
