Innovation program to boost Coast economy
Details of a $1 million regional innovation program to drive innovation, boost economic opportunities and create new jobs on the Sunshine Coast were announced this evening (October 9).
Sunshine Coast Council, Noosa Council and Regional Development Australia Sunshine Coast, along with the 26 project partners, have joined forces in the Sunshine Coast-based program, called #SCRIPT, following the announcement of funding from Advance Queensland in June.
Mayor Mark Jamieson said #SCRIPT (Sunshine Coast Regional Innovation Pipeline Team) provided an exciting opportunity for the Sunshine Coast region.
“The #SCRIPT project, which will be delivered over three years, will foster the development of innovative products and services from existing businesses and new businesses to the region,” Mayor Jamieson said.
