National Walk Safely to School Day gets kids moving rain, hail or shine

The kids of Kuluin State School safely set off to school this morning with a spring in their step courtesy of Mayor Mark Jamieson.

Mayor Jamieson joined principal Mrs Alison Welch, Constable Clancy, and a group of 65 teachers, volunteers and excited students to kick-start their day.

“In its 18th year, National Walk Safely to School Day is the perfect opportunity for parents, teachers and students to talk about and practise walking and commuting safely to school and have a bit of fun too,” Mayor Jamieson said.
