Sunshine Coast Council offers a range of traineeships

Sunshine Coast Council is offering a range of full-time entry level traineeships in the fields of horticulture, libraries and civil construction—and aspiring trainees are urged to act quickly before the February 14 deadline.

Manager of Human Resources Nick Sheehan said entry level traineeships provided successful applicants with a range of skills and experience gained from working in a vibrant local government environment.

“A full-time traineeship is for a period of 12 to 18 months, providing an opportunity for trainees to gain knowledge, practical skills and qualifications that will help them gain employment either with a council or the wider job market,” Mr Sheehan said.

“Traineeship placements are competitive and attract many applicants each year. To help applicants put their best foot forward, tips on how to apply are available on council’s website.”
