The countdown to NYE Mooloolaba has started

There are less than two weeks until the region’s free end-of year event – New Year’s Eve, Mooloolaba – which also marks the finale of the 50th Anniversary of the Naming of the Sunshine Coast celebrations.

The Esplanade, Mooloolaba, is the place to be this NYE with a feast of free entertainment from 4pm until midnight plus one final chance to help council break a Guinness World Record for the most contributions to a greeting card.

Mayor Jamieson said NYE Mooloolaba would be an event for the whole family.

“This year we have a great line-up of live entertainment for the whole family on one of the best beaches on our Coast,” Mayor Jamieson said.

“For the final time this year we are celebrating 50 years since the naming of the Sunshine Coast and we are hoping to break a Guinness World Record for the most contributions to a greeting card.

“We are aiming to reach 18,000 contributions so we need mums, dads, kids, locals and visitors to head along to the free family-friendly event and sign the card.”
