Property leaders set to gather on Sunshine Coast
Some of the world’s leading property educators and researchers are set to gather on the Sunshine Coast for the 2016 Pacific Rim Real Estate Society Conference.
The council-sponsored event will be held from January 17-20 at the University of Sunshine Coast and will involve around 150 delegates from more than a dozen different countries.
Mayor Mark Jamieson said the conference would provide important exposure to a number of the region’s key investment projects.
“The Pacific Rim Real Estate Society is a longstanding group of academics and practitioners within the property sector who meet annually for this conference,” Mayor Jamieson said.
“Exciting initiatives like our Airport expansion project, the solar farm, the undersea cable project and the smart city at Maroochydore make us an outstanding host region for this conference and this is an opportunity to showcase them to some of the world’s leading property educators and researchers.”
“We also hope they will take back some of the opportunities and knowledge from what we’re doing on the Sunshine Coast and apply it in their home countries.”
