Palmwoods Remembrance Day Service 2018

Palmwoods Remembrance Day Service 2018

Palmwoods on our Sunshine Coast is a community who contributed many soldiers to WW1.
I celebrated the 100th Remembrance Day 2018 with people and families who have given so much for our freedom.
Thanks to schools, veterans, volunteers and RSL. Local hero Cedric Popkin shot down the feared German pilot the ‘Red Baron’ 21/4/1918

Dedication of stained glass window Palmwoods memorial hall
I had the honour of dedicating a new stained glass window to be installed in the Palmwoods Memorial Hall, facing Picabeen Green soon.
Stained Glass architect Robbie Saville joined me for the unveiling to remember the sacrifice of Palmwoods and district soldiers in WW1.
A brilliant response from the local community.
