Sunshine Coast on track with smart city technology
Over the past 14 months, council has begun to implement its Smart City Framework in a bid to make it easier to live, work and do business in our region – and with a number of smart integrated technologies and initiatives already in place, it’s off to a great start.
Today council adopted its Smart City Implementation Plan, which outlines what’s next.
Mayor Mark Jamieson said the $1.6 million three-year program would deliver tangible smart technologies and infrastructure to the region.
“Ultimately the Smart City Implementation Program is an investment in the future of the Sunshine Coast and will benefit residents and the business community in their day-to-day lives,” Mayor Jamieson said.
